The two-party system, politicians bought and paid for by big campaign contributors and lobbyists, and career politicians are the unholy trinity that plagues the American government.
The Obama presidency is similar to Jimmy Carter’s, with foreign affairs a mess and the world aflame. Like now, adults back then crossed their fingers and held their breath, hoping Carter would leave office before the world exploded.
Ever wonder about the percentage of conservative or right-wing voters who find themselves out of work yet refuse socialistic help, also called unemployment benefits?
Hillary Clinton’s exploitation of her infant granddaughter for political purposes is just wrong.
Calling the beheading of an innocent and defenseless woman in Moore, Okla., “workplace violence” is like calling the beheadings of James Foley and Steven Sotloff workplace violence. Same cowardly act. Same religion.
Anyone who regularly does cannabis is likely a bit crazy, and certainly impaired from a judgment standpoint. I would not hire them for anything that requires responsible action. Would you? Really, would you? No, you go first. I’ll watch.
If only there were a way that taxes could be raised only on the Democrats. They seem to be the only ones who want higher taxes.
The sun is shining in Kansas, but only because Sam Brownback and company haven’t figured out a way to mess that up yet.
State budget director Shawn Sullivan regularly debates the public on Facebook and Twitter during business hours while on the taxpayers’ dime. Has he nothing better to do than to banter on social media while the state budget hurdles over the fiscal cliff?
Thanks to Fred N. Six, retired Kansas Supreme Court justice, for reminding us (Oct. 3 Opinion) that our court system is under attack and that we should get our heads out of the sand before Brownback and the radically religious Republicans establish their own brand of Shariah law in Kansas.
Want to save $60 million? Don’t build a new Southeast High School. Fix the old one. And also save thousands of dollars on gas to bus the students. It is easy for the school board to spend our money, isn’t it?
Some people just don’t have enough gigabytes.
