Opinion Line Extra (June 19)

Many Kansans want to know where the jobs are that were promised by the Brownback tax cut plan. Barack Obama said his stimulus plan “created or saved millions of jobs.” The big lie worked for Obama. Maybe it will work in Kansas.

The budget hole was created when Gov. Sam Brownback eliminated taxes on the wealthy and small-business owners. Now his Legislature fixes the budget hole by raising taxes on everyone except the wealthy and small-business owners. What happened to the Midwestern values of honesty and fairness?

So John Kerry breaks a leg and is flown back to the U.S. in a huge military transport plane. How many tens of thousands of dollars did this cost the American taxpayers? No commercial flights available?

Why are you still seeing George Stephanopoulos on TV? Why am I still seeing Karl Rove and Oliver North? Because their presidents gave them a pass to save their own skins.

I predict the name Caitlyn will drastically drop in popularity as a given name for a newborn.

Country music is about people who have committed adultery, are committing adultery or want to commit adultery, and/or people who abuse alcohol.

Regarding the plot of the upcoming film “Pixels”: Space aliens would be too smart to take over this warring world.
