Opinion Line Extra (Oct. 3)

If you were a second-level manager and felt your boss was incompetent and wished to help fire the individual, what would you do? You would withhold damning information from her, then rat her out to Congress.

Anyone depending on the federal government clowns to prevent Ebola from crossing our open borders is a fool.

Does anyone really believe that President Obama is capable of making the right decisions to keep us safe from Ebola and radical Muslims?

We have got to be one if the dumbest countries on the planet. Why would you let any person fly in from a country with Ebola? All flights should have been banned. For the same reason, we should not be letting any immigrants into this country who are not legal and checked out.

If you believe that Greg Orman is really an independent and not a tried-and-true Democrat progressive, well, I’ve got this bridge in New York City I can sell you at a very low price, but only for you.

Despite all the important issues in this campaign, an Opinion Line writer is concerned about Greg Orman’s haircut. Wow. It’s great to be a Republican.

Sarah Palin flew into Kansas on a private jet to serve pancakes with Pat Roberts. I’d like to know who paid for her appearance, and how much.

Both Paul Davis and Greg Orman keep harping that there are problems, and yet neither has offered a single solution to any of those supposed problems.

There are many reasons to vote for Orman instead of Pat Roberts, but if Roberts is elected and the Republicans win the Senate, Medicare will more than likely will be run by the state. If you’re happy with Medicare, vote Orman.

Roberts’ out-of-state campaign team is pulling out all the stops in an attempt to convince voters that Orman is not as independent as he claims. The irony is, there’s not a single independent bone in Roberts’ body.

I don’t understand the Republicans’ thinking: Greg Orman is rich; that is bad. Mitt Romney is rich; that is good.

Orman is just another lying liberal. The fact that he says he is “independent” is his biggest lie. Anyone who supports the most liberal president we’ve ever had is no independent. He’s a liberal Democrat and needs to stay away from Washington. We have enough problems there. Vote for Roberts.

Do you think the 29 years the Royals went without being in the playoffs was long? Pat Roberts went to Washington almost 20 years before that.

Charlie Weis was fired from KU and will still be paid the remainder of his outrageous salary. I could have given KU losing seasons, and it would only have had to paid me one-fourth of what he was making.
