Tea party has list of demands for Roberts

Some tea party conservatives have been withholding their support for Sen. Pat Roberts, R-Kan., unless he meets certain extreme demands, some of which would be illegal. According to the Hill newspaper, those demands include having Gov. Sam Brownback intervene to dismiss the ethics investigation into Roberts’ main primary opponent, Milton Wolf, related to his posting of X-ray images of patients on Facebook. They also are demanding that Anne Hodgdon, whom the conservatives accuse of leaking news of the investigation to the media, be removed from the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts and be barred from ever working again in any state agency. They also are “calling for the resignation of top Kansas GOP officials and for the state party to adopt a resolution declaring that if Roberts doesn’t complete all six years of his next term, Wolf would be named his replacement,” the Hill reported. – Phillip Brownlee
