Republicans never deal in facts. They say the economy is terrible, although we are at nearly full employment thanks to President Obama. That’s a far cry from where the last Republican president left us.
I am very surprised Obama has not shut down the TV show “The Briefcase,” since it implies that things are not perfect here in Obama Democrat land.
It is amazing that people still want to drag us back more than two decades about the first Iraq invasion. Today is today and Obama made another of his serial bad decisions in pulling out and leaving Iraq unstable.
About fighting ISIS: I have great respect for our military personnel. The job they signed up for was to defend America, not waste their lives and our money trying to impose our type of government on people who don’t want it and for the most part hate us.
When I was a farm kid I had a .22-caliber rifle, and my dad would only allow me to take four bullets on each hunting outing after school. Maybe some of these wars could be wrapped up if those high-caliber automatic weapons weren’t being used. It’s like kids playing cops and robbers.
Could Gov. Sam Brownback’s tears last week have been tears of joy? His agenda is to transfer taxes to middle- and low-income citizens, and he succeeded.
After the $406 million tax bill fiasco in Topeka, it’s time for some statewide media source to do a simple survey to reveal how competent of a job the people of Kansas think our governor is doing. Anybody want to take bets on the outcome?
So “the liberals must be ecstatic” about the tax increase? Not one Democrat voted for this bill. It was passed by right-wing Republicans.
If the pope met Sam Brownback, I bet he would have a nasty little talk with him about robbing the poor and giving to the rich. He is a reverse Robin Hood.
There must be some kind of legislation enacted to ensure the safety of citizens against domestic animals that are vicious or potentially vicious. And the pit bull, unfortunately, has well-documented statistics stacked against it.
Another round of bad publicity for pit bulls, to have a reason to eradicate the species by showing the majority of dog attacks are by pit bulls. If we use this logic, we must eradicate people by their breed, because one particular breed commits more violent crime than any other.
One way to increase the number of parking spaces at WSU is to increase the costs for cash-starved students to park there. I love the way WSU trivializes the parking situation for the very people for whom the university exists.
