Someone should make two bumper stickers – one that says “I voted for Paul Davis” and another that says “I wish I had voted for Paul Davis.”
Kansas gives tax cuts to the rich and ends up broke, with a struggling economy. Minnesota starts with a huge deficit, raises taxes on the rich, and spends on infrastructure and its people. Minnesota now is thriving with low unemployment and a budget surplus of more than a billion dollars.
Thanks to the inept state representatives this year, my choices will be easy on whom to vote for next year.
The Eagle editorial board says voter fraud is a nonissue, then uses lots of ink on it. If 30,000 people have yet to comply with the proof-of-citizenship law, they may not be interested in voting or be eligible to vote. Kris Kobach is doing exactly what I voted him in to do.
We love the “isms.” Flunk school, get arrested, can’t find a job? It’s easy to fall back on an “ism” (racism, sexism). Don’t like what someone says, does or believes? Just throw an “ism” at him. That’ll make you feel better and end the discussion.
The people who failed to vet candidates before electing a community organizer are the same people who forgot to teach their children to respect law officers.
It’s a sad day when the police are required to wear body cameras to protect us from them.
This Flag Day, on Sunday, is a perfect time to demonstrate how much we love and appreciate this great country. We should salute the courage and sacrifice of those, past and present, who defend our values and protect us and our flag by serving in our military.
While the government is spying on our phones, why doesn’t it do us a favor and use the information to stop all the fraud calls we get every day trying to rip us off?
For guys who get paid handsomely to make decisions, Sedgwick County commissioners do a lot of talking, positioning and discussing without deciding anything. Apparently it is a lot easier to take two-vote pot shots than to lead as the majority. They have been in control for nearly six months.
It’s time to make it illegal to smoke when children are in the car. These selfish jerks who are killing kids with their stinking smoke need to have their eyes opened to what they are doing.
One person’s prayer is another person’s doggerel.
The new style of men’s suit jackets, where the button is strained by the tightness across the man’s chest and appears two sizes too small, is ridiculous and unattractive. Guys, don’t fall for this ploy when you buy a suit; buy one that fits.
