Marshall tells kids: ‘There are people that love you’

Wichita Eagle

Kudos to everyone who voted for Gregg Marshall, head men’s basketball coach at Wichita State University, in the Infiniti Coaches’ Charity Challenge. Because he was a top four vote-getter, Marshall was able to present the Wichita Children’s Home with a check for $15,000. It is the second year in a row Marshall has finished in the top four, but he is shooting for No. 1 next year – which comes with a $100,000 donation. Help him win. Kudos also to Marshall and his family for their continued strong support of the Children’s Home, which is raising money for its new campus. Marshall told the children Wednesday that the charity challenge and other efforts let “you know that there is hope for you, and there are people that care for you, and there are people that love you.” – Phillip Brownlee
