So the TSA has failed to detect weapons and fake explosives 95 percent of the time it has been tested. And now we learn that the TSA has hired more than 70 people on the federal terrorist watch list. What the heck is going on in this country?

Columnist Cal Thomas reached a new low with his incoherent rant against “female Viagra” (June 10 Opinion).

Where can we find the names of the 330,000 businesses and farmers receiving a free pass on paying income tax while still benefiting from state-funded services? In the meantime, our governor thinks everyday citizens and nonprofits should be taxed more to pay for the resulting shortfall.

For all you state legislators elected on the demands for smaller government: Here’s your chance. Do nothing, which you have already shown is possible, and let the state make its 6.2 percent across-the-board reductions. Then you can tell your constituents you did what they elected you to do.

They spent $325 million renovating the Statehouse. They took millions of dollars from the Transportation Department along with issuing millions in bonds to pay for it. Now they are stealing more money from Kansans by drawing overtime of $900,000 and counting. Throw the bums out.

Herding cats is hard, but this group of mindless kitten Republican legislators won’t accept competent leadership from anybody except when it comes to attacking the judicial branch of state government.

When you have a person who makes more yet pays no state tax, and another who makes less but has to pay state tax – well, I think you can safely say the system is rigged, thanks to the Republican Party in Kansas.

If you’re collecting welfare and spending a single penny on strippers or tattoos, look in the mirror – there’s your problem.

I wonder if those idiots running the prison in New York showed the movie “Escape From Alcatraz.” Those two cons sure copied how to get out through the wall.

It looks like the only way the supposed police brutality problem is going to be resolved is to hire only African-Americans, Asians or Mexicans to serve on the police forces. All white guys should retire immediately (and leave their guns behind).
