Exactly why would amnesty encourage someone to pay delinquent taxes? If the amount is large enough, it can be negotiated down. How can the Kansas lawmakers project how much money from back taxes will truly be paid?
It is too bad the Menninger Clinic left Kansas. The psychiatrists there might have been able to bring Gov. Sam Brownback back to reality with therapy.
Did our totally sensible Kansas legislators remember to add that welfare recipients cannot bring their own bottle to painting parties? Or were art studio painting parties already banned anyway?
Kansas at its best: The Legislature cannot devise a tax plan to solve the revenue shortfall to balance the budget, but it can pass a ridiculous BYOB plan to bypass the state’s own liquor control board.
Youngsters out there: If you want to learn how to dismantle a democracy just pay attention to the Republicans, both at the federal and the state levels.
We often hear: “Where have all the manufacturing jobs gone?” Do we ever hear: “Where have all the government jobs gone?”

The only reason people like Lincoln Chafee, Martin O’Malley and Bernie Sanders are being allowed to run is so Hillary doesn’t look so much like the lying, radical lefty statist that she is. Sorry, it ain’t working. Hillary and Bill Clinton belong in jail.
Based on lies, Dick Cheney cost the U.S. more than a trillion dollars and the lives of thousands of American soldiers, but he made more than $40 billion for his buddies at Halliburton.
The U.S. was vilified anytime we so much as scratched a mosque, and yet nothing is said when Muslim terrorists deliberately target, damage, destroy and kill inside them and destroy antiquities.
Isn’t it cute when those who profess that their religious beliefs should be used in American politics balk when you start applying those beliefs back at them?
So after 10 years, the FCC is sort of taking on robocalls. What’s taking so long to stop these annoyances?
Do the weather persons at KSN really believe the residents of the Wichita area are so geographically challenged that they need to be told the severe thunderstorm warnings for far western Kansas do not include the Wichita metro area?
The women of KSN News must have an obsession with wearing stripes. My old box TV picture flickers so much with those stripes that my eye doctor is going to get tired of seeing me.
