Opinion Line (June 9)

Obama and the Democrats plan to make income inequality a campaign issue. Yet it was their remedies that resulted in the snail-like economic recovery and the greatest income inequality in our nation’s history.

“Giant data hack may expose major national secrets.” Now you know why Hillary Clinton used her private e-mail.

Hillary’s refusal to answer questions from the press, donors to the Clinton Foundation seeking government business, funny stuff with her e-mails, her refusal to take a position on the trade legislation, the increasing divisiveness of her speeches – these are just a few reasons she should not be president.

Come on, Wichita – we have the best possible chief in house. Let’s make Nelson Mosley our police chief.

Why wasn’t D-Day on the front page of The Eagle? I’m reading your paper because of what these men and women sacrificed.

It would be nice if Eagle readers could see “Doonesbury” comics, such as the one Sunday featuring the Brownback tax plan, in the printed newspaper rather than just online.

From local coaches, athletes and families: Thank you to the many sponsors and volunteers who participated in the Kansas Special Olympics Summer Games at WSU last weekend.
