In an effort to be more like the Kansas Legislature, I have set my budget and now I am going to find a job that will pay for it.
Kansans should know the name of every legislator who favors the unfair taxation of employees while exempting some business owners from state income taxes. Greed and unfairness are ruling.
If the company you work for doesn’t pay state income taxes, it still probably has an effective tax rate of around 30 to 35 percent. Then you get taxed when you’re paid. Government taxes every dollar you earn twice and again when you spend it.

Does anyone seriously believe the NSA will stop collecting our phone records? It will do what it always does – pay us lip service and do what it wants.
I wonder if the war hero John Kerry will want a Purple Heart because he was attacked by his bicycle and broke his leg.
The 20 mph speed limit in Eastborough is 5 percent about revenue and 95 percent about discouraging nonresidents from using their streets for through traffic, but they won’t admit it.
To the impatient fellow in the white pickup who passed me on the right as I was attempting to exit K-96 onto Hydraulic: You really must see a doctor about that stiff finger.
Calling Bruce Jenner a woman is an insult to women.
I have just about had it with all the ballyhoo and congratulatory swoon over Jenner. If you don’t believe such action is against God’s word, then how does one justify it with the law of nature?
The WSU baseball attendance dropped the last two years of Gene Stephenson’s coaching. Stephenson did a good job, but a change was needed. Give coach Todd Butler a chance to rebuild the program.
