Opinion Line Extra (Sept. 29)
We’ve been cutting taxes for 30 years. How are your children’s prospects?
This country needs more poor people, not less. That’s where our tax revenue comes from.
Our current wartime president, without any military experience, seems lost.
Obama went to the United Nations to promote climate change, which is a farce – and he and his big left donors know it. He should stay in the White House and work with the Republicans once. He also should listen to the experienced military leaders, who actually know what they are doing.
It’s time we refer to our representatives as puppets, not politicians. It’s obvious their every move is orchestrated by their national party, with little or no regard for their constituents. All this talk of state’s rights, only to then cede power to a national entity. What a pitiful lot.
Our Kansas secretary of state could solve these pesky election troubles by declaring our state a monarchy and appointing himself to the highest office in the land. All hail, King Kris Kobach.
It sure is funny to see the “RINOs and Rednecks for Roberts” tour try to convince Kansans that Pat. Roberts cares one lick about what happens here.
If every legislator who has visited a strip club is declared unfit for office and thrown out, we will have only women representing us. That’s really not such a bad idea when you think about it.
How many more times will The Eagle put Greg Orman’s name or picture on the front page? The Paul Davis strip club incident made national news but was hidden very well by The Eagle. Don’t count on The Eagle. It cannot be trusted to be fair and impartial.
Orman has made his own fortune. Where did Sam Brownback and Pat Roberts get theirs?
It’s simple: if you want halftime Kansas half-wits running your Medicare, vote the Republican ticket.
The Traditional Republicans for Common Sense, who are supporting tax-and-spend Democratic candidates, are nothing more than disgruntled RINOs. Their apparent lack of core values and principles of conservative governance got some of them booted out of office, and they are whining about it.
Pat Roberts is 78. A U.S. Senate term is six years. Thanks for your service, Senator, but it’s time to retire.
Greg Orman is pro-amnesty, pro-Obamacare, pro-choice and pro-gun control. On his website, his statements are vague or indicate he leans to the right, which seems deceptive. Why would conservative voters want to elect a liberal?
Doesn’t Jeb Bush look a lot like the late John Candy?
All of the national cable TV news shows need to remove the word “news” from their names since they spend most of their time offering opinion instead of news.
