Opinion Line Extra (May 29)
Everyone wants change in government, but until everyone gets out and votes, nothing is going to change.
Ironic that people who claim Hillary Clinton is qualified to become president can’t name one of her accomplishments.
Obama’s lack of serious action to stop ISIS is equivalent to a scenario if Roosevelt had waited until Germany controlled all of Europe before declaring war. Our next president is going to have a huge cleanup to accomplish.
Critics of the president on ISIS need to shut up until the chicken Congress has the guts to debate the issue of the military even being there and funding them. They bash the president for not aggressively fighting an undeclared and unauthorized war.
Isn’t it great how Democrats bash the wealthy when they in fact are wealthier than those they bash?
Prejudices and preconceived notions are a funny thing. Liberal propaganda has the ill-informed believing that conservatives are the ones who would control everything, when it’s liberals who are the fascists. As a conservative (not a libertarian), I say let people take whatever drugs they wish.
Those who want to put the screws to the poor population in Kansas profess to be good Christians. I wonder what Jesus would say about those actions.
Where does all the hate toward the poor people come from? It’s just ignorance.
The restrictions on where welfare recipients can spend those funds don’t make sense. If these people can get cash from an ATM, how does anyone know where that money is spent?
The Legislature passed a bill limiting subsistence recipients to $25 per withdrawal per day, paying the banks a 5 to 10 percent fee each time. That is really sickening – enriching banks at the expense of the poor and taxpayers.
I wish Gov. Sam Brownback would just ride off into the sunset, or even his idea of sunshine, in that black Uber sedan. He seems to value Uber more than the Kansas working poor without health insurance. Did he ask the Uber driver if he had health insurance?
I see the geniuses in the Kansas House just voted to give Kris Kobach the power to prosecute nonexistent election fraud. We really need to fire all of them.
I now know our legislators are not listening to the people of Kansas. To give more power to Kris Kobach is the scariest thing I can imagine. He already has way too much power.
Why do the liberals keep crying about the death penalty? No one has been executed in Kansas since – what – 1965? I don’t see anyone getting the magic juice in the near future, so give the subject a rest.
