Opinion Line Extra (Sept. 25)

Football players are taught in high school, college and the NFL to be mean and aggressive. Then people wonder why the players commit assault and battery.

I bought some garlic at a large, well-known grocery store. It came from China.

It’s a sad day when our elected officials can’t find money to save Judge Riddel Boys Ranch at Lake Afton but can find even more money for an animal barn. We know where their concerns are.

Could we all agree to hire a new secretary of state in November? Our class clown is embarrassing.

Politics is like dog poo. You’re always stepping in somebody else’s business.

Isn’t it ironic that our Kansas Legislature can pass and enact laws and the Supreme Court justices can change the laws to suit their wants?

Pat Roberts doesn’t get it. I don’t care how Greg Orman votes. He’ll vote what he thinks is best for Kansas. Roberts votes against the other side. He wants to go back to D.C. to fight. Orman goes to help Kansans and improve the system.

Does it seem odd that the Democrat candidate for the Senate drops out, and all media attention turns to multimillionaire Greg Orman? If Orman were a Republican, The Eagle and its Democrat acolytes in the media would be crying out in dismay and exposing him as a fraud.

A registered Kansas voter (whose son works for Sam Brownback’s re-election campaign) is suing for the right to vote for a Democrat for U.S. senator. The law is clear: When he votes, he can write in the name of anyone he wants.

In a recent survey, 1 in 4 Americans was open to seceding from the United States. That is an alarming number and shows what a miserable job the professional politicians have done running our country.

The Obama foreign policies: Don’t cross this red line; well, never mind. We’ll stand behind you; ah, no we won’t. We’ll be here to protect you, but we pull out our troops. After all that, we have no allies left to help us with ISIS.

Obama is incompetent. He removed the troops earlier than advised. Now he’s sending them back to possibly die. He needs to return the Nobel Peace Prize. He also is sending troops to Africa instead of to protect our border.

Yes, Bush got us into Iraq, but the current situation is entirely of Obama’s making. We pulled out just so Obama could say, “I got us out of Iraq.” Are you aware that the Iraqis practically begged us to stay?

The recession that this country is still recovering from took George Bush eight years to accomplish. I find it hard to believe that people criticize Obama for not having it fixed in six years.
