Opinion Line Extra (Sept. 24)
If you had told me as a child that in the year 2014 people would be standing in line for hours on end just to buy a phone, I would’ve thought that the Soviets had won.
There is child and spousal abuse in every community in America. Let us not make the NFL the poster child. Wrong, yes. Visible, yes. But not the cause or the solution for the greater problem that involves so many innocent women and children.
Only time will tell if the Boeing closure was a wise decision, but the continued problems with the tanker program make you wonder. Wichita had the most tanker experience of anyone in the world.
Lord, you can take me now. I’ve seen it all. I see some liberal fool actually believes obesity is more prevalent in red states due to conservatives’ IQ levels.
So Chad Taylor`s name is “accidentally” still on some ballots. Who didn`t see that coming?
I started following Greg Orman on Twitter to learn more. I am an independent, and he might get my vote. But next thing I know, I am being followed by the Kansas Democratic Party. Seems maybe he just might not be as independent as I first thought.
Paul Davis said he was “in the wrong place at the wrong time” during a sheriff’s 1998 strip club raid. That is the same thing a friend said when he was in a similar establishment. He looked down and recognized the shoes next to him. They belonged to his wife.
I flunked Sam Brownback’s education quiz.
The only thing Republicans know how to do is draw a paycheck for doing nothing. I think it’s time to get some work done. Vote this November and put people in who can work out problems and get things done.
The GOP is paralyzed, unwilling to do anything but block progress. Talk radio makes people sick. Democrats win again in 2016.
Quit blaming all of Congress. Every piece of good legislation passed by the House is blocked by Harry Reid, Democrat leader of the Senate, from ever coming to the floor for a vote, and will continue as long as the Democrats control the Senate.
President Obama and Harry Reid are not in the argument about Kansas. The argument is that Sen. Pat Roberts has served his time, and Gov. Sam Brownback has been too insistent that things be done his way. Period.
It would seem Clint Eastwood wasn’t so far off after all with his “empty chair” speech. Remember when?
The definition of insanity is simple – voting for the same people again and expecting different results. It is time for some real changes in this state and country.
