The problem with trickle-down economics is that it doesn’t trickle down.

I am as opposed to unions as anyone. However, I could probably tolerate them if they were restricted to the private sector.

That the Kansas Bioscience Agency would be killed via an “anonymous” bill is pitiful; just another nail in the Kansas new jobs coffin. The fact no one will “own” the bill shows what a bad bill it is.

If Gov. Sam Brownback could just admit publicly that the tax rollback for business owners was a mistake, or too big of a step, he might have a political future left. Otherwise, it’s a political disaster, no matter how he tries to spin it.

I am waiting for the governor to apologize for the remarks made by his hatchet man, Clay Barker, regarding the waitress. By Brownback’s silence, he is agreeing that the waitress deserves to be called stupid and ignorant. Would anyone want his daughter, mother or wife to be belittled like that?

A dispute over what color of white to paint a wall (May 18 Local & State). Wow, I can see a new reality show: “Yuppies Gone Wild.”

If we eventually can buy liquor at Dillons, will it be Kroger brand bourbon, Kroger brand vodka and Kroger brand beer?

I’m 73 and have friends who must have Super Glue on their phones, because they can’t seem to get them out of their hands. It’s happening to all ages.
