Opinion Line (Sept. 18)
Why are we sending 3,000 troops to Ebola-stricken Africa? So they can bring the virus back to America? Even the Peace Corps has sense enough not to go.
We always should listen very carefully to what Dick Cheney says the U.S. should do in foreign affairs. And then do the exact opposite.
Forget the boots. Use the nukes.
All you superpatriots wetting your pants about ISIS should “support our troops.” They’ve been deployed for 13 years.
Obama isn’t a joke. He’s the Joker. “How ’bout a magic trick? I can make the United States’ global credibility disappear.”
Violence is violence. Why is violence against women being treated differently from violence against men? Aren’t they both supposed to be equal?
Are a disproportionate number of professional sports players lowlife criminals, or are they just a mirror of today’s society?
Perhaps I should run for governor. I am an 86-year-old female who can run a combine.
Sam Brownback says his dad won’t let him drive the combine. Let’s get him out of the driver’s seat of Kansas.
It speaks volumes that there are a lot of Greg Orman and Paul Davis signs together in yards but not Orman and Brownback signs.
Gee, I wonder who suggested Missouri Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill speak with Chad Taylor about ending his Senate campaign, making way for Democrat turned independent Greg Orman. I smell Harry Reid.
Instead of a voter-ID law I think we should have a voter-IQ law – a law requiring people to have documented proof of possessing at least two brain cells to rub together before they can vote.
This may be a little off-key from politics, but that red piano in the yard in College Hill totally rocks. Cheers to the creators.
Let’s say a prayer for Jayla Haag. She is in the loving arms of God, where she will be protected and loved for eternity. She is loved by those of us on Earth who value all of God’s children.
I guess it’s just a matter of opinion. One reader wants The Eagle to discontinue “The Argyle Sweater” comic because they consider it pathetic. I find it consistently hilarious.
