The governor should take the advice of comedian Henny Youngman’s doctor: “Doc, it hurts when I do this.” “Don’t do that anymore!”

Brownback must look at the real causes of Kansas’ economic woes and not tax health care maintenance organizations that try to heal people. His next proposal ought to be a sickness surcharge tax on citizens with costly conditions like cancer and heart disease. Taxing the sick is a logical next step.

No one is telling the people who receive welfare that they can’t get their nails done or get a tattoo. They just have to do these things with their own money, not taxpayers’. If they’re working, earning their own money and want a tattoo, no one is saying they can’t.

If anyone can produce proof of even one welfare recipient who has used their welfare benefits to take a cruise, I will gladly give him or her $100.

It is ridiculous that Hillary Clinton can ignore questions and document requests from Congress, have all her government documents on a personal home server, and have the Clinton Foundation receive money from foreign governments and corporations while she was secretary of state, and not be held to account.

The whole Clinton money scandal could just be a distraction for something our president is doing to further transform (downgrade) our country.

The Maize school district seems to be inheriting some of the problems that the parents were trying to get away from when they moved out of the Wichita school district.

I wish the city cops in Goddard would patrol the high school traffic area at 2:45 in the afternoon when kids race out of there. It sounds like a drag strip with all the racing motors and squealing tires on some days.

We have too much “freedom” in this country. Everywhere I go, people have their mouths open and attitudes out, acting like fools while ignoring their children’s miscreant behavior. This is not the “freedom” our forefathers envisioned.

The WSU men’s basketball motto is “Play Angry.” But the women’s coach was investigated for creating a culture of anger. That’s either discrimination or hypocrisy, or both.

The voting for the “Dancing With the Stars” celebrities certainly hasn’t been about the dancing lately.

I wish that Sonic would get some new idiots. I am tired of the current ones.
