Opinion Line (May 16)

The two-party system is destroying the personal freedom this country was created to preserve. Liberals demand to protect you from yourself by telling you what to do, conservatives by telling you what not to. We need some sensible leadership.

Our education system is a Ponzi scheme used to launder money into the Democratic Party.

Why do we need a state Legislature? It just does what King Brownback wants.


On whether Kansans “deserve better” than the governor and his allies: No, they don’t deserve better, because they voted him in, either through ignorance of the facts or because they simply didn’t vote at all.


Living on welfare is not a preferred choice. Try it. The stipend goes back into the economy, and food supplement comes from charities. That’s not to be confused with corporate welfare, where the money goes to stockholders and CEOs with no restrictions.


No, that’s OK, Mayor Jeff Longwell. Mother Nature took care of sweeping the streets for you. The only thing you have to worry about now is cleaning the storm drains and rivers of everything that washed down into them.
