Opinion Line Extra (Sept. 12)

Social Security is not an entitlement program. It is an investment into which all of us workers pay and from which Congress often steals our money.

Russia should have just accused Ukrainians of having weapons of mass destruction and invaded – like when the U.S. invaded Iraq.

Can Republicans please teach me how to speak out of both sides of my mouth at the same time? It’s easy to cover all of your bases when you support something in the morning and then are totally against it the afternoon, only because President Obama supports it.

Remember Cash for Clunkers, Solyndra and the stimulus? Quite the jobs recovery plan. I feel so sorry for Americans now – savings and opportunity wiped out. And what does the president do? Play golf and go to fundraisers, play golf and go to fundraisers. Americans deserve better.

With advances in science providing more and more evidence of intelligent design by a higher power, the label “freethinkers” seems to be associated with people on the wrong side of the fence.

Kansas isn’t the reddest of the red states. Just look at all of the Democrat governors this state has had in the past 60 years, some serving multiple terms.

The Republican Party leadership just wishes that all of the teacher trolls would get back under their grate next to the Keeper of the Plains and quit pointing out the party’s missteps.

For good reason, the law prohibits placing campaign signs on public property. No matter how rich you are, your private property doesn’t extend to the curb or even beyond the sidewalk in front of your house. Keep your signs on your property, away from the roadway. It’s a public safety issue.

Why has there been no media coverage of the planned black mass in Oklahoma City on Sept. 21? This is being promoted as entertainment. It is sacrilege and satanic. Please let your readers know that this event can be stopped. Evil thrives when we turn our heads.

Why do fast-food places, especially those with arches, hand sodas out to drivers with the cups covered in soda? How hard is it to wipe it off before you hand it out? These are the people who want $15 an hour.

Silly me. I apologize for trying to get home across Rocky Creek Bridge while you take your trite photos of formally dressed groups on hot, muggy afternoons after assembling them on the roadway of the bridge. It is perfectly legal for you to block the roadway with your cars, too.

I saw a young lady with a skull tattooed just below her neck in the front. I am sure that is something she will never regret.
