Conservatives aren’t anti-government, but we are anti-big government. We reject the lawless actions of Tim McVeigh and Scott Roeder. Lawlessness is an honor badge for Democrats like Lois Lerner, the Clintons and Barack Obama.
If the Democrats can’t find a better presidential candidate than Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders, then I won’t be voting for a Democrat.
“Reverse racism” is an idiotic and misleading phrase; it implies that “regular” racism is always perpetrated by whites against blacks. I’ve met people from all over the world, and white Americans are some of the least racist people on the planet.
We need to give all law enforcement officers across the country the same day off once a month. The thieves and looters could then have a day where their rights won’t be interfered with. They could steal and burn without being arrested. That’s where we’re headed.
Relative to wrecking the economics of the state, it is understandable why Sam Brownback wasn’t allowed to drive the combine on the family farm. It would have ended up in the ditch, too.
In “Tax policy growing Kansas” (April 29 Opinion), Brownback bragged about the success of his tax policy. I have just one question for the governor: If your tax policy is working, where is the revenue it was supposed to generate?
There is absolutely nothing to stop those whining that education doesn’t get enough money from giving the state part or all of what they own. Unless they do that, they have no moral right to demand anyone else pay more taxes.
The state accepted my tax return eight weeks ago. Where’s my refund?
A key phrase in the “Expand KanCare now” editorial (May 3 Opinion): “If lawmakers listen to their constituents....” My state senator is Michael O’Donnell, whom I’ve contacted numerous times. I’m now convinced anyone so proud of his brand of welfare reform won’t listen to me about KanCare. Good luck to the bishops of Kansas.
Hey, people – especially Generation X: I’ve had enough of seeing your butt cracks. I’m not intentionally looking, but come on – pull up those pants. It’s disrespectful, very rude and unattractive. Wise up and grow up.
The solution to Wichita’s water problem is in the street in front of my house. We need only capture the water running down the gutters as a result of my neighbor’s excessive watering and misaligned sprinkler heads, and we would not have a water shortage.
The editors of The Eagle must think we Kansans are pretty stupid. There is no other reason for the unfunny and dumb cartoons they publish.
If you think griping about someone who’s smoking an e-cig and driving makes you look petty, it does.
