When I came to live in Wichita 27 years ago, I received two speeding tickets for five miles over the limit. Both were from motorcycle cops. No tickets since then, but I better watch out, they ticket for everything.
I can’t believe that The Eagle would run a column like Wichita on Wheels. Don’t they know how un-PC it is to own a vintage car and contribute to global warming? What would Al Gore have to say about that?
Wichita dog owners, do not leave your dogs unattended while at work. It makes you look really bad.
Jed Delmore’s “I love your pajamas — how health care is personal” column (Jan. 31 Eagle) is but one example of why his patients love this wise, kind and compassionate man. A wise note for all of us to follow.
Do Opinion Line contributors really believe that Wichita is the only city that is continually repairing its roads? Go ahead, move elsewhere. They’re working on their roads, too, I promise you.
Gov. Brownback for years cut taxes and state funding. Now leaving Kansas, he is telling us our state properties are in a terrible state of repair. Blame should go to the Legislature for following the governor’s unproven ideology.
After watching the State of the Union address, it was clear due to the unwillingness by both parties to agree on anything that not much will be accomplished in our lifetimes. Politicians should be embarrassed how they represent this country.
To the owner of the statement about never hearing a guitar solo that was too short: Ignorance is not wit. You’ve missed some life-changing music, my friend.
JFK was probably spinning violently in his grave listening to young Rep. Joe Kennedy’s State of the Union rebuttal nonsense.
President Trump used the deaths of two young girls during his State of the Union address to show us why immigration laws need to change. Yet nothing needs to be done after the events in Las Vegas, Sandy Hook or Orlando.
If the Opinion Line were a tree, it would be a crabapple.
