Goodbye, Gov. Brownback. Hello, Ambassador of Bigotry.


If Gov. Brownback employs his skills as a governor to his new position as ambassador at large for international religious freedom, then God help us all.


What does it say about Gov. Brownback that a guy who wears his religion on his sleeve needs a tiebreaker to be confirmed as ambassador of religious freedom. The post itself is ridiculous, but his policies were even more so.


Newman University’s decision to cancel an event stirred strong criticism. The university was accused of trying to silence self-expression. Traffic lights and speed limits all limit our self-expression – but they do keep us safe.


The person who placed the swatting call is charged with manslaughter. The police officer who killed an unarmed man will get an attaboy. Doo-Dah land for sure.


What do you think the chances are that Brownback will defend my freedom from religion stance?


Judge Rosemary Aquilina (the gymnasts sex-abuse case) is the hero. She threw the book at the creep for abusing his position of trust with his patients.


Hey Gov. Brownback, need any help packing?


If our colleges and universities produce more thinkers and writers like Garrett Wilkinson of K-State (Friday’s Eagle), we can indeed become that “shining city on a hill.”


Railroads and orange cones make this town a very tedious and tiresome place to live, commute and get around in. No wonder companies pull up stakes and move out once they’ve out grown this ridiculous burg.


Any American who has been down along the 1,954-mile long border with Mexico knows that a “border wall” is absolutely ludicrous.


I will drop everything just to get to the mute button quickly once I hear the “My Pillow” commercial begin. Bless my mute.


Dreamers’ belly-aching are akin to burglars protesting for the right to be in your house.


When I was a child, I had imaginary friends. Kinda like it is now that I’m an adult.
