Viewed Genevieve Waller’s art online, including cloth pretzels and a woman covered with card-sized colored squares. Saw work at the Christmas craft show in my parish church that was far more beautiful, creative and original.
With all the manufacturing jobs returning to the U.S., I wish it was Boeing returning to Wichita. They were the best manufacturing jobs in Kansas and no one will ever replace them.
Training for high-risk occupations, especially policing, must emphasize imagining worst-case scenario or there can be no effective preparation to respond to it or mitigate it when possible, regardless of what a pretentious grandstander says.
It’s time our city government demand background checks, including psychological (and time in the military), credit and criminal, on all current and future police officers. If you’re a clean cop, you have nothing to worry about.
Geese are a far larger hazard to airplanes within the airport vicinity, a lot more than drones, but nothing is being done to limit them.

When I did something wrong as a minor, my guardian was held accountable. When I became an adult, I was responsible. Same should apply in DACA cases.
I wish the press and others would stop referring to Trump as the “Leader of the Free World.” His words, tweets, and other child-like, non-leadership actions have made him definitely far from worthy of that title.
If the illegal DACA’s parents are deported and the children have a good-paying job, not on welfare or food stamps, they should be able to stay after paying a $10,000 fine for breaking federal law.
The president is not setting a very good example for our children and young people when he lies, curses and pays off porn stars to keep them from divulging intimate secrets that he’s involved in.
Good to see those bike lanes getting some good use of late. Good use of taxpayer money and lane space. Said no one ever.
