Opinion Line (Nov. 12)

Let’s make America great again by not hating people who are different and are already here legally and trying to make a living such as the owners of Petra. This country belongs to all of us.

I wouldn’t mind the orange cones if the outcome was a good quality street surface.

Citizens have realized that the Obama magic was just a little slight of hand.

People are moved to action by their fears. Among 2017’s top 10 fears are polluted natural waters, unsafe drinking water, global warming, and climate change. Our politicians should listen.

The reason the conservatives changed the elections to November is they hope to reduce voter turnout and elect people not invested in protecting public schools.

Hillary Clinton is not president and will likely never run for public office again. Quit trying to misdirect attention and move on, Republicans.

I’ll bet 99 percent of the issues people base their vote have nothing to do with an efficient government. Pro life, pro choice, gun rights, gay marriage have nothing to do with good government. I want candidates that promise efficient government.

Kudos to artist Crowson for his artwork in last Sunday’s paper.

I officially give up. Everyone go buy all the guns you want and go shoot whoever you want. No one who can do anything about it cares, why should I? I’ve done everything I can: voted, protested, made my representatives aware.

Will the person who told comedians that profanity is funny please go back and tell them it’s not?

In honor and memory of our veterans, this weekend, I will not be watching any NFL football.

Seems there are a lot of chicken plant experts in this area based on their strong comments. I assume they have all lived with one in their area. They should take a breath and reserve judgment.

I’m all for the new Tyson chicken plant being located in Wichita/Sedgwick County. Now if someone would also locate a mashed potatoes and gravy plant here and a cole slaw factory, we would really have something.
