Mike Pompeo and I are poles apart politically, but I have to say I agree with him that the real threat for America is our gargantuan debt. It will soon make investing in the U.S. all but impossible.
There has never been a law passed that has ever stopped or prevented a crime from being committed, just punish after.
Why is the NRA and its members so opposed to background checks with a better system and closing loop holes? That doesn’t take anybody’s guns away.
The state of Kansas is proud of the increase in taxes collected. Kansas businesses are proud of their decrease in taxes paid. We common folk should just be proud that we can pay more than our share just to keep the ship of state afloat.
All racist graffiti is a hate crime, no matter who perpetrates it. Would police in Manhattan prosecuted a Neo-Nazi in this case? False complaints undermine valid complaints. To dismiss a false police report as a “prank” is wrong.
I guess the Boy Scout was right to question a state lawmaker about a bill to allow domestic violence abusers the right to own a gun. She should be replaced as well as all other lawmakers who support such insanity.
Homelessness, McDonald’s wages and high tuition aren’t going to fix the $20 trillion debt.
I don’t think a crazy guy willing to shoot people inside a church would adhere to any liberal gun laws.
Thanks to Becky Tanner for writing the wonderful story (page 1B Sunday) about a former Wichitan we knew little.
Having lived in Missouri, I can say chicken processing plants don’t smell so bad as to run the prospect of jobs out. A pig farm I’d object to, as their ‘lagoons’ smell like an open sewer … which is what they really are.
If they keep giving teachers shorter days in lieu of a pay raise, how many years before the students are spending more time on the bus ride to and from school than in the classroom?
I think if they ever make a movie about me, I want Mark Wahlberg to play me.
