What’s life like in a town with a Tyson plant? It stinks.

I’d be willing to bet the farm that most, if not all, of the people who oppose the Tyson plant have a job or don’t need a job.

Tyson and their local promoters should make a pledge to the public, like Herbert Hoover’s campaign motto, of “A chicken in every pot.”

The Tyson plant, with its inevitable air and water pollution, should not be placed in a metropolitan region. Better to locate it in a less densely populated area. Sedgwick County’s unemployed can move there for employment.

Before any Tyson agreement, due diligence requires a trip to their Missouri plant by a quorum of council members, both sides, and a record of its last 10 years of complaints and resolutions, as well as visits to neighbors.

I believe the richer the recipient of the tax cuts, the smaller the percentage of money will actually be spent. The tax cuts should be targeted at people who are the most likely to spend the extra money.

If you want to make America a better place and end the whacky ignorance that’s making it a worse place, quit sticking a microphone in front of Democrats that will twist reality into whatever false narrative suites their fancy.

Some 800,000 Kansans sat out the 2016 election. In local elections, decisions that directly affect your community, your schools, and your kids are made by your neighbors, your coworkers, your family members … and you.

The only thing I can think of that Trump has made great again is “Saturday Night Live.”

Trump was elected to deliver on his campaign promises. Turncoats like McCain, Flake and other Republicans who oppose his every move are the dividers. They are nothing but pot stirrers. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I travel to Emporia two to three times a week and wasn’t even aware there were any meat processing plants there because I’ve never smelled anything. Stop all of the alarmist fear mongering already.

My morals may be out of whack according to you, but I am comfortable with them. Quit judging me.
