The problems of speeding and careless driving on Kellogg coincides with when drivers education classes weren’t considered important. Due to the expense, many kids can’t afford to pay the summer tuition. The schools haven’t had a problem paying $400 for football helmets.


KU, take notice. Lou Perkins, the football program killer, is gone. Please bring Mark Mangino back. Why you ever got rid of the most winning football coach in KU history makes absolutely no sense.


Big tax cuts this year will give Congress even more of an excuse for cutting back on Social Security and Medicare payments in future years.


Trump’s new tax initiative might not be perfect, but it’s light years better than what we have now.


A recent opiner said, “Name a law that has stopped the targeted crime. Speeding? No. Murder? No. Rape? No. So shall it be with gun control.” The same is true of abortion. You have to change hearts.


That new tentative teacher contract looks and smells like an appeasement offering to deflect from the superintendent hiring herself a high-paid deputy superintendent. How about giving that salary to the teachers?


Perhaps the Tyson chicken plant should be part of the Wichita Downtown Revitalization Project.


Until prayer stops mass shootings, I am comfortable with common-sense gun laws.


Some people complain about the bad streets. Others complain about the orange cones. Sheesh.
