County Commissioners, you can be removed from office as easily as you were installed. Contacting Tyson without the slightest public input? Which ones ever lived on a farm and had to raise chickens?

Did Sedgwick County commissioners violate the Kansas Open Records Act when they collectively signed off on this letter to Tyson in secret volunteering Sedgwick County as a potential site for the Tyson chicken poop generators? Smells very bad to me.

In the Opinion Line of Nov. 2, the first three comments were right on for Wichita. A new baseball stadium and chicken plant we don’t need, but the history of this City Council is the members always vote for something the residents don’t approve of.

For those who are against Tyson coming to Sedgwick County: I grew up in Iowa, lived in Wisconsin, traveled through Illinois and have visited Dodge City. The smell of chickens cannot be any worse than pigs, cows and ducks.

Soon it will be time to reset our clocks again. How many clocks do you have to reset? Isn’t it about time to do away with Daylight Savings Time?

Our City Council should read “The Next Pandemic” in the November 2017 Smithsonian magazine prior to extending an invite to Tyson. They’d learn that killer flu strains begin in chickens and pigs before mutating and jumping to humans.

City Councilman Clendenin in his campaign ad says he is for better streets. Then how can he condone the road repair job in Chapin Park, in the west lane about 600-800 feet west of the entrance to the dog park area?

Davis Merritt, one of the reasons that more Republicans have not spoken out against President Trump is that they know what an empty suit Vice President Pence is.

The “political inaction” that Merritt decries is a direct result of the obstruction that President Trump faces. Merritt is fine with that, as he is suddenly fine with Republicans who oppose Trump.

Public safety suffers at the hands of the privatization system where a few people making loads of money takes precedence over health care for all, adequate prison security and other things. Privatizing everything is a danger to our republic.

Humor is a great weapon.
