How many of those condemning the poultry processing plant in Wichita have actually been anywhere near a “state of the art” processing plant recently? Quit complaining until you know for sure what you are condemning.
Before we get all teary eyed over the newest “Bravely Forward” ad, can we find out where the teens and late 20-year-olds from the first one are now? How many actually stayed in Wichita?
I wish the Wichita police chief would spend more time overseeing his department, fighting crime and traffic enforcement, rather then cooking hot dogs and hamburgers. There is too much PR in the department rather than action.
I don’t know any small towners politely replying that they love the smell of money. In my experience, they’re not exactly proud that their town is known as the poop-smelling town, even if it brings in dollars.
So the people of Sedgwick County are crying “Not in my backyard” to the Tyson plant. Aren’t these the same people that sent the casino over the county line and allowed all of the tax revenue to go to Sumner County?
Keep at it, Commissioner O’Donnell, a new chicken processing plant is a great fit for Haysville. Jobs, growth and a great company will be a wonderful addition.
Thank you to the gentleman that stood beside his truck, putting his hat on his heart, in respect to a funeral of a family member. Shame on you who crowded into the procession line and went into IHOP. Really?
I’m amazed at 21st and Amidon how several cars are playing Russian Roulette for a car accident. I see several times a week when approaching this intersection that even a second or two after the light has turned red that cars speed up and go right on through.
I feel like I won the lottery. Health care premiums for next year are only rising 7 percent. Beats the 35 percent they went up this year. Never thought I’d be happy with a 21-percent average annual increase.
The most important thing in a drive-through restaurant is the straw.
