The city of Wichita is spending $50,000 to find a baseball team to play in a new stadium that does not exist. Quit wasting our money and fix the residential streets. This city does not care for boring baseball.


Those of us who live out south, around the Haysville area, are going to be asking Michael O’Donnell this question: Will it be money or your constituents? Will you sell us down the road for the chicken plant?


I don’t trust the conclusions of any coalition of business leaders involved in Wichita’s economic development. Isn’t that how we got the monstrous apartments that ruin our river view and other disastrous investments?


Why should taxpayers float developers’ wild schemes? I thought good business people were the risk takers.


Cal Thomas’ granddaughter was spot on. My wife worked in a hospital and many doctors assumed they could hit on any woman. The hospital administrations look the other way and do not protect their employees.


The FBI investigation of an alleged coverup at the Wichita police department, and other reports of WPD officers’ wrongdoing, may possibly damage future Sedgwick County and municipal court prosecutions. Judges and jurors alike will wonder whether WPD evidence can be trusted.


Replacing Boeing with chicken-plant wages and benefits is a stretch. The only thing they have in common is they both can fly.
