Our Eagle carriers, Valerie and Damon Hermes, are retiring after 25 years of service. Thanks for all you’ve done, including making sure the paper was next to the garage door in the snow and ice. Enjoy your well-deserved retirement.


It’s too bad that the local officials will listen to a New Yorker and not to local citizens about Naftzger Park. They can find $1.5 million for a new park but nothing to keep our pools open for our youth.


Among our unalienable rights is life, but can we protect our lives without the ability to access affordable and competent healthcare?

When will mankind realize the earth is not such a large place that we can hate each other and still survive?


To put things in perspective, assuming the average American has a net worth of $150,000, they would need to donate $15 to equate to President Trump’s $1 million donation for Harvey relief, assuming his net worth is $10 billion as he has stated.


I also have degenerative disc disease in my neck, but I work. My husband has two bulging discs in his back but he chooses to work. We all have something wrong with us; not everyone can be on disability and Medicaid.


Today I am grateful for “Big Ditch Mitch,” who led us to do the right thing.


The Olathe man fighting his HOA regarding a third car parked in his driveway. He asks what would Jesus do? I bet Jesus would sell the Toyota V-6 Highlander, buy a pair of winter sandals and give the rest to the poor.
