Nobody’s surprised by the number of bus-related violations. Look at how many people speed through highway work zones. Nobody cares about human life if they have to get somewhere.
Kudos to the city for resurfacing our streets with limited funds from the Hyatt sale. It could have been a much better job had we not voted down a small tax increase several years ago. The predictable complainers should be happy we got anything.
Donald Trump gave a million of his money to Houston flood victims. I bet you won’t see Hillary Clinton giving any of her millions to the Houston flood victims because she is greedy and Texas is a Republican state.
For-profit schools definitely have the students’ interests in mind more than public schools do. If for-profit schools do not satisfy their customers (students’ parents), they will go out of business. Government schools will be funded regardless of the results.
I will no longer support NPR. Tired of all the bashing of our president.
Kansas Secretary of State Kobach cut his staff 18 percent and costs 30 percent. Maybe that is part of the reason 10,000 to 15,000 Kansas voters had their votes thrown out. Not enough people or resources to properly do the job.
I read a beautiful thought the other day. “How different conflict looks when the spirit of a relationship is regulated by forgiveness.”
The purpose of HOA rules are to maintain value of homes? Some neighbors haven’t gotten that memo because they don’t intend to move. Their goal is junk up the place. The rest of us lose value in our homes.
Ned Yost and the other Royals coaches should take an evening and treat our boys in blue to dinner and a screening of “Major League” to see how Cleveland reached the postseason.
Let’s see if I have this right. Our billionaire president claims to donate $1 million to Harvey relief. Micheal Dell, another billionaire, donates $36 million. What does that tell you?
