Opinion Line Extra (April 1)
President Obama’s education remains a mystery, but it is obvious that his understanding of the three branches of the American government are “me, myself and I.”
Wow. With condemning “friends” like Obama, who needs enemies? Doesn’t Israel have enough of those already? Shame on our president.
How many actual “moochers on welfare” with Cadillacs have you ever seen? We could all be in the situation someday where we had to depend on welfare, and we have no idea what these people are going through.
How much tax money (direct and indirect) do all these city advisory boards cost? How much wasted staff time is spent on these boards? Can we cut some of these bureaucrats?
The fact that Sam Williams supports Gov. Sam Brownback’s reckless tax cuts for businesses should send up major red flags. That flawed philosophy hasn’t worked for Brownback or Kansas, and it won’t work for Williams or Wichita.
Want to triumph over big money in politics? Don’t vote for the candidate who has the most negative ads.
The Big 12 sure pulled the wool over the NCAA selection committee’s eyes. Seven teams invited. What a joke. Power conference? I think not.
Liberal Lawrence showed no class when booing the governor.
Nobody was booing at Brownback’s shirt. They were definitely booing the governor and his inability to manage the state of Kansas. That was something both Hawks and Shox agree on.
I wouldn’t have paid extra to see the Shocker-Jayhawk game, but I would have paid extra to have had the opportunity to boo Brownback.
I am a die-hard KU fan and when I am wrong I admit it. Congratulations to the Shockers. They were the better team this year.
Real KU fans should be demanding Bill Self schedule a game with WSU every year.
To the man who called me a “sorry Jayhawk” when buying Shocker shirts: You are the reason Shocker fans have a horrible reputation.
The Doo-Dah lovers are having their day since WSU beat a KU team that even Bill Self described at the beginning of the season as not as good as usual. However, due to excellent coaching, they won the Big 12 regular season title.
Why don’t we solve the suggested problem by giving “education” every single dollar of tax money the state of Kansas collects? I just keep having a nagging suspicion, though, that still would not satisfy some people.
Just wondering if there is a connection between KSN’s pitch for colorectal cancer and it tagline, “We got your back.”
I had a good opinion of people in general until I started following reader comments at Opinion Line online. There are a lot of rude, opinionated people, mostly hard-core liberals, who frequent the site.
