If 157 awards as an actress makes Meryl Streep “overrated,” what does six bankruptcies make President Trump as a businessman?


The Ron Estes health care survey we received in the mail today has questions worded with such conservative bias it is embarrassing to have him as our Representative.


President Trump may not be the most artful with his comments, but he is certainly not a Nazi, racist or Russian collaborator. Can we please move on and get some action on health care, taxes, the economy and immigration?


To the person who wrote about Melania Trump’s five staff members vs. Michelle Obama’s 24, Mrs. Obama was actually doing something. Mrs. Trump is not.


If you think those who voted for Presidents Carter, Clinton and Obama should “permanently recuse yourself from ever voting again,” you are un-American.


The photo makes the new residence hall at WSU look like a row of filing cabinets. What uninspiring architecture. Can one imagine what a replacement Century II would look like if these professionals were involved?


Call them skinheads, white supremacists, neo-Nazis — they are all fascists. Fascists believe that democracy, free speech and rational discourse are signs of weakness. They will use them to increase their own strength. Fascism in America must be resisted, period.


Now we find that counter-protest group, Antifa, in Charlottesville not only armed themselves but ramped up the violence. The president was right. Both sides were violent. Sweet Heather Heyer and other peaceful protesters paid the price.


Is it right that we honor the signers of our Constitution, fifteen of which were slave holders, and dishonor those who eight decades later who fought for that same belief, as wrong as it was?


Reorganizing, remodeling, rebuilding, renaming and moving from one side of town to the other is not real growth.


Leonard Pitts’ column on Charlottesville was completely off the mark and was the usual over the top Republican bashing by the media. Getting boring.
