Now that the Wichita City Council has decided to have a pool to replace the McAdams pool, it is time for citizens to demand that the swimming pool in Orchard Park remain open and not be closed. Fair is fair.


I like Merriam-Webster’s second definition of “accurate:” conforming exactly to truth or to a standard. Companies displaying their profiles on websites should keep this in mind.


We now have a failed administration under imminent threat of indictment, just like Trump predicted on the campaign trail. Lock him up.


If America is strong, the world is strong, but Democrats in Congress don’t want strong, so the world will be weaker.


I don’t suppose the person criticizing the person getting free school supplies thought she bought the $300 baby carriage at a garage sale for $20 or it was donated to a thrift shop by someone taking a $300 tax exemption.


President Trump is famous for the art of making a deal. I would like for him to use that skill with North Korea. Please.


Love music? Love dancing? Do yourself a favor and go see Music Theater of Wichita’s Newsies. MTW is one of a select few regional theaters Disney selected to produce Newsies. Go see it. You’ll be thrilled.


Nuclear war would definitely slow things down.


Is it a good idea for a kindergarten teacher to take 15 children outside to look at the eclipse? Even with glasses, you know one of them will take the glasses off, just to be curious. Lawsuits aplenty.


Century II was paid for by taxpayers. The future of Century II should be decided by taxpayers, not the City Council. It was a sad day when the County Commission sold the Kansas Coliseum for pennies on the dollar.


Naftzger Park doesn’t belong to the homeless; it belongs to the contributing citizens of Wichita and should be treated as such.


The Wichita City Council just kicked a swimming pool in northeast Wichita down the road to 2021. Lots of things can happen in four years, including city elections in 2017 and 2019.
