If the wealthy are tired of paying too many taxes, why not give up that wealth – say, to charities – and live like the rest of us?
What’s wrong with Kansas and its elected leaders can be realized through the Good Samaritan story. Simply replace the poor man on the side of the road with anyone but business owners.
If a sitting U.S. senator resigns, the governor appoints the replacement. Think Pat Roberts and Kris Kobach. You should have voted for Jean Schodorf. We would now have a secretary of state interested in voters’ rights and fair elections. Kobach is merely preparing for his next political step.
What part of the law do you conservative gun worshippers not understand? No one is going to take away all your precious guns. Common sense should tell you there needs to be some regulation instead of the current relaxing of gun laws, such as no permits for concealed carry.
If we were to return to the old law of the West, with high noon duels on Douglas, then let’s go all the way – death penalty sentences carried out on the same day. No more cushy prisons for 10 or 20 years of appeals.

Harry Reid has announced that he will not run for re-election to the Senate in 2016. He wants to spend more time with his exercise machine.
I do not believe there is anyone in our government capable of “rewriting” the Constitution any better than what it is at this time. It is clear and precise now, but if it is rewritten by anyone nowadays it would be too confusing as well as too misunderstood.
Barack Obama’s retirement home should be somewhere on a secluded island where he can’t embarrass himself playing golf.
Leave it to liberals to boo Gov. Sam Brownback for wearing a shirt that supports two teams from Kansas. Stupid liberals.
Can the whiners from Hillside High shut up now? I guess they aren’t all that. Where was Gregg Marshall’s rude grin?
After all these years, beating KU was equal to winning 10 national championships. Go, Shockers.
Bill Self is a one-and-done coach. If he doesn’t get his recruits, he’s done. Don’t expect to see him at KU much longer. He would be a better pro coach.
I just like the fact that they use a “saturation” patrol to catch people who have imbibed too heartily.
