Opinion Line (March 28)

Thanks for another great season, Shockers.

I’ve been a huge KU fan for 63 years but I’m also a Shocker fan, and WSU whipped us pretty good. I’m sorry you lost, Shockers, but don’t hang your heads, as very few teams ever went 65-5 over two years.

The Shockers are now king of basketball in Kansas, and I don’t see any advantage for us to play that loser coach’s team located somewhere west of Kansas City.

To the losers from Lawrence: I’ve always called Wichita State “Harvard on Hillside.”

Wichita State basketball coach Gregg Marshall made the worst mistake of his coaching career when he confirmed to the media just before a Sweet 16 game that he would listen to offers to leave his team. That announcement must have deflated his players, and they played like it.

Some are complaining that Marshall would listen to the Alabama offer. I am sure these morons wouldn’t listen to another business that would double what they are making.

The Koch brothers can relax now. Harry Reid is retiring in 2016.

Every time you read something in The Eagle that mentions the Kochs just insert the name George Soros, because he is doing the same things, every bit as much as the Kochs are.

Let’s get real about the economy under Obama. The unemployment rate has gone down to 5.5 percent, 12 million jobs have been added, stock prices have doubled, corporate profits are up, and the deficit has been cut by two-thirds. What do you want?

It seems every Republican was blasting President Obama for not doing more to fight ISIS. It turns out the people in the Middle East are finally fighting their own battles and very few American soldiers are involved, which is the way it should be.

Obama trades five terrorists for a deserter. I sure don’t trust him to make a nuclear deal with Iran that will be in the best interest of the country or our allies.

The quality of a Republican candidate and his chance of winning are directly proportional to the conniption fit thrown by the left. Which tells me Ted Cruz is our guy.

The co-pilot of the jet that crashed in the French Alps did it on purpose. Not only do you have to worry about terrorists bringing down planes, it’s the pilots who do it, too. What a hideous crime.

High ticket prices, overcrowded airline cabins and now kamikaze co-pilots. Think I’ll drive next time. At least I’ll have more legroom and can trust my co-pilot.
