I love basketball as much as anybody, but the amount of coverage The Eagle is devoting to it is absurd.
With that win over Kansas, Gregg Marshall became the Wichita State Paul “Bear” Bryant of basketball.
The WSU basketball team has been the best team in Kansas since the 2011 NIT championship.
I’ve said for years that the KU basketball team’s mascot shouldn’t be something formidable like the Jayhawk, but more like the piece of throat jewelry called the choker.
In Kansas, Sam Brownback is the person most deserving of being booed. I wish he’d show up at more public events so he can receive enough doses of humiliating bipartisan medicine to cure his illness.
How many Kansas public schools have young men and women playing college basketball, and other sports, somewhere in our state? With Brownback’s and our legislators’ attack on public schools, competitive sports will be a distant memory in public schools.
Obama should just be quiet about what he thinks the NCAA should or should not do for the basketball programs and tournaments, and leave it to someone who knows what they are doing. This would no doubt be the best for the players.
We know where the majority of centrifuges are in Iran. Why are we not blowing them off the map? Perhaps that would qualify as a nuclear agreement.
Let’s put the cards on the table. What is the Republicans’ alternative to Obama’s negotiations with Iran? Nothing, like always? Or do you really want another unnecessary war, for Pete’s sake? Not enough PTSD and veteran suicides?
So Ted Cruz is going to run for president. I’d say he’s Cruzin’ for a bruisin’.
So Cruz is eligible to run for president? Where are all the “birthers” now? I guess you only have to be born in the USA if you are black and run for president. It is OK to run for president if you are Cuban and Canadian.
When a person is a servant of the people, they are accountable to the people. So Hillary Clinton needs to turn over all of her e-mails, even personal.
I just received a mail piece from Sam Williams where he cites Voice for Liberty as a valid source for claims against Jeff Longwell. He just lost my vote.
We, as residents of Wichita and Sedgwick County, need to find out where our city and county leaders get their vehicles’ front-end alignment work done. Maybe we could get a discount.
To the lady who ran the red light southbound at Ridge and University at 4:27 p.m. Monday: Thanks for the dirty look you gave me for honking at you. Except for my paying attention, you would have T-boned me. Time to stop running red lights.
