Democrats must sleep through economics class. They may recollect “supply and demand,” but don’t appreciate what drives demand. When consumers have more money, via tax cuts, they save or spend it. More spending is more demand, which creates jobs.
When Gov. Sam Brownback signs the block-grant school funding law, the “activist judges” should have him and the legislators slapped in chains, brought before them, charged with contempt of court and fined a year’s salary.
Of course Brownback heard boos from the crowd at the Wichita State-Kansas basketball game. Rational folks with reasonable levels of intelligence do not applaud his war on education in our state.
Sam Williams’ vision for Wichita sounds suspiciously similar to Brownback’s “Road Map for Kansas” – a lot of empty words and promises with no real specifics or definite detail.
Williams represents that he is a CPA when he is not, and continues to play games about his vote on the sales tax. He has resorted to negative advertising, and huge outdoor signs that don’t meet city code. These are not the qualities we need in our mayor.
I am glad that we are killing these terrorists with drone strikes. The only bad thing is they don’t know it is coming. Why can’t we develop a rocket that chases them around for a couple of minutes first?
Hillary Clinton reminds me of the neighbor I don’t trust to take care of my cat.
Our esteemed former secretary of state could use a whopping dose of truth serum. Anybody know where we can find a really big syringe?
If 6.5 million Social Security accounts of individuals who would have to be at least 112 years old can slip under the radar, then Kris Kobach’s dogged pursuit of voter fraud doesn’t seem so far-fetched, does it? You can bet there are a lot of illegals voting themselves benefits.
Ah, warm weather. The sounds of birds singing, children playing, dogs barking incessantly because their owners ignore them, the boom-boom-boom of a car radio two blocks away, and the muffler of an idiot a mile away who can’t look up where to buy a new one for his motorcycle.
Christmas in March. Shocks rock Jayhawks.
K Who?
With bonuses, the KU coach’s salary is just under $5 million. Does this mean the basketball coach at “Hillside High” should get more?
If an additional $1.5 million is that important to Gregg Marshall, the sooner he leaves, the better. He should remember that in the SEC, football is always No. 1.
