Opinion Line (Sept. 8)
Those clamoring for war have small odds of going. Pull out last year’s graduation pictures and show me which kids you’ll sacrifice to teach the bad guys on the other side of the world a lesson.
With the ending of the Iraq War and the tap closing on the profiteers, it makes me wonder if Halliburton is sponsoring ISIS.
Obama has stolen a line from my husband: “I was just getting ready to think about planning on trying....”
Joe Biden says we will follow ISIS to the “gates of hell.” When did they move the gates of hell to the golf course?
Would some adult in the White House please call in the golfer-in-chief and tell him he has homework to do?
The beheading of the Americans by ISIS was far more humane and less barbaric then the recent botched executions by lethal injections in the U.S.
ISIS thugs have run amok in Syria and Iraq. They murder, rape and terrorize unarmed civilians unabated. That is why our Second Amendment is so critical. They would get about 10 feet in the United States and the fight would be on.
The blame for the tragic death of the firearms instructor starts with the 9-year-old’s parents and ends with the instructor. If columnist Leonard Pitts wants to go to an “idiot country,” try Iraq, Afghanistan, Africa, etc., where kids as young as 5 are forced to carry guns and kill people.
So Pitts thinks children using Uzis only happens here. The Internet is overrun with children practicing with automatic weapons in Middle Eastern countries.
Drive through Wichita on a cold day and you will see homeless people huddled in corners. If only there were some way to get private donations or county funding to build a shelter for these poor people. I know – let’s disguise them as elephants.
Clearwater educators: Either love your job and the kids you’re being paid to teach, or get out. I don’t need my tax dollars funding your bad attitude. You know who you are.
Why can’t the Catholic Diocese and parishes understand that the parents need to be heard? They want our time, talent and treasure but don’t want to hear our opinions. Something has to change, and very soon.
Behold the mighty Kris Kobach. He controls the voters and now the candidates. Can Kansas ever be saved?
