Opinion Line (June 30)

I think a lot of “road rage” is due to the traffic-light system. Sometimes the lights don’t even make sense, they change too fast, or are red all sides with one lane of traffic waiting.

Banning smoking on college campuses is silly. Dictatorship lives in America.

Trump is playing with the press. He knows they dwell on every word he speaks or tweets. He is only spreading his own fake news to distract them while he follows his own agenda; to promote Trump.

Breaking Cat News has got to be the biggest waste of ink and space in the Eagle Sunday comics.

The writer who praised President Trump for the performance of his/her 401-k and IRA should realize that Trump inherited an already healthy economy and market from President Obama. Trump has only been in office for a little over five months.

Instead of issuing more tickets for speeding perhaps we should have a separate driver’s license for those that are uncomfortable driving at the speeds that are posted now.

Thank you to the man who stopped to help after my kids and I were rear ended on Tyler Road during the storm Monday. He stayed for 30 minutes, keeping his hazards going while we waited for police. Didn’t get your name, but thanks!

My dear Democrats, you need to be “for” something, not just “against” everything.

Nine days of fireworks bears no resemblance to true patriotism. It’s simply “stealing” a beautiful extended weekend from peace-loving people.

Wouldn’t it be nice if when out eating with family or friends or enjoying a family get together everyone would put their phones away and participate in conversation with each other.

There is really only one political party in this country: the “Republicrats.” They just cannot agree among themselves how best to fleece the rest of us.

So far this year there have been four Congress special elections. The Republicans won in Kansas 4th, Georgia 6th, South Carolina 5th and the Montana at-large seat. The GOP is making America Great Again!
