Opinion Line (June 11, 2017)

Those who have given up on climate change have forgotten that God gave man the gift of intelligence. Mankind is incredibly resourceful and capable of solving problems when we all work together.

Thank you, Gov. Brownback for not raising taxes on the hard-working citizens of Kansas. Now if you could do something about the freeloaders.

Brownback’s business growth plan works as well as a homeowner using Roundup to keep his grass green.

Jobs will not be created in Kansas if workers do not have access to high quality public education for their children.

No country in the world would survive an attack on the USA. Instead of increasing military spending, we should use the money to increase security to reduce chances of terror attacks.

Our president’s constant use of Twitter to convey his silly off-the-cuff messages does nothing but show his immaturity, divide our nation and embarrass us in front of the world.

The liberal left hates President Trump so viciously that in order to destroy his presidency it will tear down the whole United States of America and everything it stands for.

Our Kansas state legislators are very disappointing and an embarrassment, starting from the top down.

Way to go state legislators! Your toughness will benefit schools and businesses for generations to come.

Why do voters continue to elect Republican legislatures who year after year promise to lower taxes and decrease spending when every year they raise taxes and do not reduce spending?

Now that the big decision has been made about school starting time, can you now decide where you are going to get money to even open the schools. Handle the important stuff first.

While we’re taking pictures of “luxury” school buses to illustrate that more school funding is not needed, let’s also take pictures of the luxurious homes of the wealthy to show that they do not need any more tax breaks.

TV advertisers don’t seem to know that my remote has a “previous channel” button. If you start loud, ridiculous commercials that insult my intelligence, I use it every time.
