President Obama never took your guns. President Trump is taking away your health care, Social Security, Meals on Wheels and student loans. Making America great, right?

Dear Cal Thomas: Yes, we must protect the rights of a suspicious person because chanting or talk do not prove someone will attack others. Fred Phelps’ group would all be in jail if that’s all it took.

If The Eagle is supposed to print more conservative opinions, why not the same for local talk radio, which never allows for liberal viewpoints? Are you reading this, conservatives?

I have been to both new baseball parks in Omaha. Also, the new ball parks in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Little Rock and Springdale, Ark. All of them were very nice, and I don’t remember the cost of a ticket to get in, or the cost of food, being much more than I pay attending a Wingnuts game. Wichita needs a new stadium.

All law-abiding adults over the age of 21 should be required to carry a handgun at all times. Police could issue a ticket for not being armed.

Kudos to Cindy Carnahan, her band of 16 “garden warriors,” the Greater Wichita Partnership, and the Wichita Downtown Development Corporation for all their efforts and resources to beautify Wichita. The transformation is stunning, and your efforts have not gone unnoticed.

Wow, the FBI, NSA, etc., need to investigate Kathy Griffin. She must be a home-grown radical ISIS fighter. So let’s get on with it.

You can’t dig up everything that ever lived and burn it in the space of a couple hundred years and not expect it to mess up the atmosphere. Not to accept this fact is having one’s head buried in the ash.

I am now a senior citizen who should not have to pay two dollars for a cold bottle of water with no ice.

Y’all have no idea how corrupt businessmen can be. No idea.

In response to us not being as divided during the Obama and Clinton terms as now: It’s because conservatives don’t riot and burn things down but instead act like decent citizens while watching and waiting to vote for system change.
