Hey, we are like Texas now: We are the “Loan Star State.”

Why the war on public schools in Kansas by the extreme right-wingers? This push comes straight from libertarian philosophy. All enterprises and all property must be privately owned. No room for public schools. They must go.

So new gun laws make us all criminals in the eyes of law enforcement officers? Well, that’s great. Now they have a reason to shoot anyone. This is not how I want my tax money spent – cops being trained that everyone is armed and dangerous.

We have turned our teachers and police officers into merely social workers.

People seem to overlook the fact that at all of these so-called killings of innocent people by the police, the police were called there because a crime had been committed and it is the police’s responsibility to protect the public.

I was happy when my friend told me he was a Republican. Admitting he has that condition is the first step toward recovery.

I would gladly return to the Dark Ages if it meant no more radical liberals.

The naivete of some readers is amazing. No sane person wants war. However, sometimes we have to stand up to bullies, whether we want to or not.

It is nothing short of incredible that President Obama was unaware Hillary Clinton was using a private e-mail account for government business while secretary of state, learning only about it in recent news reports. Oh, if you like your doctor....

I think we all owe Bill Clinton an apology. For all of these years we thought he was the immoral Clinton, but with the recent revelations regarding Hillary’s e-mail account and acceptance of foreign donations to the Clinton Foundation while secretary of state, Hillary has taken over the top spot.

Obama said the march for equality isn’t over yet, but everything he says and does is divisive and separatist in nature, and it appears he and the Democrat Party will not be satisfied until they achieve their vision for an elite 1 percent minority in this country.

Racism is closer to home than Oklahoma. Our own Secretary of State Kris Kobach made racist remarks regarding our president. Could it be that Kobach thinks Obama would make judgments according to skin color based on Kobach’s own personal color biases?

“Privatize Amtrak”? These are the fools who got out of passenger-rail service because it wasn’t profitable enough. Now they want to take it back?

If you find daylight saving time invidious, just don’t go by it. Continue to operate by the sun. The government can’t force you. Just show up everywhere an hour late and look for your favorite TV shows after they’re over.
