Opinion Line (May 19)

The police’s motto is “well, we can’t be everywhere.” I haven’t seen a police car in our neighborhood in forever. When I do, they drive by pretty fast and keep their head faced forward not checking houses. They never get out of their car and find out about the neighborhood.

Apparently, Democrats in Congress think their jobs are only to be special prosecutors, not legislators.

We need three independent investigations, one into Trump and potential ties to Russia, one into how Hillary handled top secret information on her private server and email distribution, and one into the Clinton Foundation. That should make everyone happy.

Keep Cowtown authentic. Could a small fleet of “rough terrain” wheelchairs be available for use? These could be donated by area sponsors.

Extreme irony is when FBI Director James Comey is the one person that got Trump elected, and then Trump turns around and fires Comey, the one person that could get him impeached.

I would hope the people in Topeka that claim to be running the state will tell the state court no. Let the Supreme Court close the schools!

Before we build a new baseball stadium with a walkway to Century II we’d better make sure there will be a Century II to walk to.

How many police officers could be added to the police force for the $294,000 being paid to a California consulting firm?

Would all the socialist single payer health care countries be able to afford it if America was not paying them to protect them? If they paid us to protect them maybe we could afford socialist health care.

President Trump is like a trout swimming upstream against an army of bears wading into the water from both banks.

I voted for Trump and no Russian influenced my vote. What influenced my vote was Clinton's dishonesty and her radical liberal policies.
