If you’re afraid of marijuana, you either never tried it or you were born before 1950. Get with the times.

Citizens of Wichita need to write in candidates for Wichita mayor, as the two candidates are not qualified.

President Bush was such a show of class and respect as he marched with President Obama, John Lewis and others at the Selma anniversary. I later watched Bush’s 2006 speech as he signed reauthorization of the Voting Rights Act. Compared with today’s GOP, he sounded unbelievable.

Interesting how Obama can take the time to go to Selma to march, yet neither he nor any of his administration could take time to go to Paris and stand in solidarity with our allies against ISIS and terrorism. Seems to me Obama thinks we’re still fighting the Civil War.

Conservatives claim that Obama is always blaming Bush for his problems. That’s only partly true. George Bush caused the Great Recession, so all of the current slow recovery can be traced to him. Blame for all of our problems in Iraq goes to Dick Cheney.

Run as fast and far as you can from the current list of Democrats for president, unless you would like to become another Ukraine or Iraq.

Our foreign policy over the last six years has been a total disaster. Winston Churchill described an appeaser as someone who hopes that “if he feeds the crocodile enough, the crocodile will eat him last.” World War II taught that appeasement leads to disaster.

Do as Nancy Pelosi did with the Affordable Care Act – pass the education block-grant bill, then read it to find out what is in it.

“Perpetual inadequate funding” – buzzwords for the unthinking class of ideologues who believe every social ill can be solved with “just a little more money for the kids.” I think we should try some accountability, integrity and (yikes) innovation.

School funding solved: Defund all schools. Let parents and liberals pony up and pay for it all with user taxes and donations. That’s the best way to roll.

It is amazing how many politicians, when confronted with a technical problem, will hide behind “I’m not a scientist,” but when it comes to women’s reproductive systems, they rapidly become certified ob-gyn practitioners.

I applaud the University of Oklahoma and the national fraternity for taking swift actions against racist remarks made by fraternity members, including OU’s expulsion of the offending students.

Why do the people having a drawing for a contest need my mobile phone number? I provide my address and e-mail to them, but apparently that is not enough for them to notify me. I do not choose to be bothered on my personal cell number.
