Opinion Line (March 17)

Congressional investigators have a better chance of getting information from Hillary Clinton’s server from Chinese hackers than from Clinton. And it would be more complete.

Sen. Tom Cotton, one of the few people in Washington who has been able to throw Barack Obama off his game.

Cotton and others keep referring to Iran as a country that is killing or wants to kill Americans. Can we see some proof, please?

The Israeli prime minister is trying to protect his people and his nation. It seems the liberals can’t understand that.

Sam Williams said he’s really not interested in what’s gone on in the past, but doesn’t that open the door for the past to repeat itself? If you’re not interested in why something didn’t work, how can you figure out what will work in the future?

Are we to believe Williams when he’s looking to us for votes or when he’s looking to Bill Warren for support (read: money)? A write-in for Jennifer Winn sounds good to me.

I think a Wichita aquarium is one of the best ideas I’ve ever read in the Opinion Line. I’m all for it.

Wichita needs to stop spending money it doesn’t have. First things first: water, law enforcement, fire protection and street repair. When that’s accomplished, we can add new attractions to visit. In the meantime, take kids fishing, teach them gardening, etc. There are plenty of things to do.

Thank God for the District Court in offering an opinion that it might stop this truly loony bill on block financing of school districts. The courts are this state’s only hope. The rest of this crowd are lemmings.

Our state legislators must have had a terrible experience as students, as they have done everything they can to get back at teachers.

It is time that our state motto be changed to reflect who we are as Kansans. “Stupid is as stupid does” fits perfectly. Who cares about stars – or can read Latin – anyway?

Would The Eagle have used the headline “Another man named 14th president at Friends”? No. So why did it put “woman” in the Saturday headline? Why not her name?

Men’s college basketball has become a contact sport. Will a player have to be seriously injured before they go back to playing the real game of basketball?

WSU has some very classy cheerleaders. At the MVC women’s basketball tournament, they invited the one lone cheerleader from Loyola to participate with them during the timeouts. Great sportsmanship. I’m proud to be a Shocker.
