Marijuana advocates would be better off taking their initiative to Topeka, given the attorney general’s remarks that a city decriminalization law would be illegal.

If it walks like a duck and it quacks like duck, it’s most likely a duck. I keep thinking that might apply to all those who signed that marijuana petition.

Marijuana enforcement wastes millions of dollars in police and prison costs and has a lifelong impact on users who get a criminal record, including problems finding work.

The comments by the Kansas GOP about Hillary Clinton’s use of private e-mail sound to me like the pot calling the kettle black.

Words are cheap, ignorance is hallowed. Evidence suggests lies are easier to believe than truth. Reminds me of the governor and his faithful at the Statehouse.

Am I the only one who thinks that a lot of very good people who are legislators have drunk the governor’s Kool-Aid and the entire state of Kansas will suffer for many years to come?

I knew Kansas was in trouble when Sam Brownback said he didn’t believe in evolution. That tells me he ignores facts and blindly follows ideology. Sound familiar with his economic policies?

We need to propose and pass a bill in Kansas that would prohibit state lawmakers from voting on any bill whose passage may benefit themselves or their family members monetarily.

Time for real training for polling place volunteers. I had to go back to the main desk four times before I could vote. Maybe educated teachers could help with training.

When basketball players’ rights to conceal-carry are finally the law of the land, we can put an end to this court-storming business once and for all. And if you don’t like the ref’s call, you can add a little force to your disagreement.
