Clinton’s lame excuse similar to Brownback’s

Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said this week that she used a private e-mail account and cellphone as a “convenience.” That’s a lame excuse for circumventing open records laws. It’s also strikingly similar to what Gov. Sam Brownback said about why he used a private phone. Brownback said it was “easier” to use a private phone than try to keep track of what was state business and what was personal business. That didn’t fly with Senate Minority Leader Anthony Hensley, D-Topeka. “When you’re governor, you shouldn’t be concerned about what’s easier,” Hensley said. “You should be concerned about what’s right.” – Phillip Brownlee
